When my responsibilities get too heavy (like the season I’m in now) I turn my prayers into to do lists.
Though I have a spreadsheet bookmarked with clean lines and prepared spaces, my tasks often find themselves on whatever scrap piece of paper is lying on the kitchen counter.
I think this is because physically checking the boxes off is its own kind of therapy.
Seeing the progress in real time seems to make it just a bit realer for the part of me that needs to know my effort can make a difference.
A map to a gentler place! Yes yes. Love this perspective on to-do lists!
The exhale of a checked box, Ahhhhh!
