I’m striving to continue to dream intentionally. I love the quotes you pulled and the way you extracted hidden messages within them! I’m so inspired by you bro!

you just made me realize that I have also switched from dreaming about accomplishments (awards, honors, milestones) to dreaming about who i will become. I want to be the truest version of myself, the soul that was sent to earth at this time to fulfill my life's purpose.

Beautiful. The shift can happen intentionally or as a result of the path we've chosen to take. Either way, it's a beautiful way of being.

You are an insanely talented writer. Your posts are encouraging me to hone my writing skills as they feel lacking. More importantly, this post reminded me that I do not dream anymore. I don't know how to dream. I am afraid to dream. There is much to unpack here. My feeling stuck, trapped, and at the mercy of my little humans day in and day out have removed any excitement to dream from my soul. I have gotten so used to my efforts being futile and my dreams not being realized that I've just accepted that dreaming is not for me. I want to change this. I'm going to try to change this.

Thank for these affirming words friend. I respect you and your art A LOT so this is truly meaningful.

And thank you for your deep reflection. Dreaming can be beautiful but, as you describe, it can also feel like a luxury to do or grief to hold.

However, when I read your work, I find myself experiencing bits of dreams:

• A country were people are loved

• Digital spaces that weren't designed to make us feel inadequate

• A way of being that embraces the gift of support and help

They are your words so I won't suggest that I know where they come from, only that I feel the light of a dreamer as I read them.

Thank you for this. You are gifted in seeing things in others that they cannot see in themselves. I definitely dream of a world that does not thrive off of making us feel inadequate, but rather prioritizes our humanity and sees it as nothing short of beautiful.

"Now when he reaches out, it is with tender hands that seek connection rather than completion." Yes, this is the shift isn't it, that brings a sense of possibility and open heartedness? Finding ourselves in a new chapter that feels honest and clear. Loved this line you wrote.

And a lot less pressure on our romantic partners to give us what they never could - wholeness.

I appreciate you joining me in this space and for offering up such a thoughtful reflection 🙏🏽

It’s interesting, when I came across the word “unyielding” in your second para, the image that instinctively came up for me was of someone being tough, thick-skinned, bull-headed, and single-minded (and not in a good way). But then I read what followed, “who refuses to close himself off to love,” and realized that you reframed all those images for me. To be single-minded and unyielding about staying open to love - what a beautiful thing.❤️ Also, I love the dream theme. I think it’s important to understand the illusory nature of this world, so that dreaming feels like not only a pleasurable privilege, but also a moral imperative.

There are portions of my work that I intentionally leave open for interpretation. And then there are times when I'm extremely deliberate. My use of "unyielding" was one of them. So getting a thoughtful reflection like this makes me feel seen.

Thank you friend 🙏🏽❤️

It felt fitting since a wall would’ve most accurately described my way of being previously.

Thank you for reminding me to keep dreaming. And to become and not just to achieve. Coincidentally I am writing a piece on success and self worth that shows clearly it is not about achieving something externally....

And congratulations on the subscribers, as someone who wants to improve her writing, I do get distracted too by the numbers (even if it's such a small one), but I remind myself again and again, why I am here.

I love that you’re affirming, and writing about, the truth that it’s the internal work that matters most because the desire for external validation is real.

‘You have to dream to be awake.’

I’ve been dreaming, regularly over the last week, of writing. I realize it, in the deepest dark, literally composing in my mind as I’m stirring awake.

This is all almost too meta. 😆🥰 xx
