"But there are special experiences worth remembering. Like the moment when a beautiful painting sings to our souls or when a well-worded sentence elicits a tear of knowing. For these moments, we should pause and reflect."
I also think of how beautiful it feels to be able to be in the moment; perhaps you won't remember, but you will be wholeheartedly present in that moment, in front of the painting, amongst nature, sipping on your coffee, catching up with a friend... All these moments in lives you may not remember but you're present for. It can be such a compassionate practice to living our lives with intention. ☀️
"For my future self I will live life now" This really spoke to me, and I think will become my mantra for this week. Going to spend the rest of the evening getting cozy and reading all of the featured posts! Your gift to decipher and discern is incredible (as usual!) <3
Only making a move can unfold this wild life! Taking action is often the key to unlocking new experiences and opportunities in life. Whether it's pursuing a passion, going on a random new journey, or making a significant change, sometimes you just have to take that leap of faith to see where life takes you. Thanks for sharing these beautiful reminders!
The forgetting part of the article is what drew me in, because I have this problem of forgetting literally everything. It’s kinda my new thing to say (genuinely) “oh, I forgot”. But the little notes you added really made me fall in love with this article because I never forget something that inspires me. I can remember it in great detail no matter how much time has passed. It’s a really beautiful thing, just like this article:)
"They are the whispers of inspiration our future selves deserve to know and enjoy." Jamal, I experienced this today and wrote a piece to memorialise how I felt at that moment. Emily Hubbard is right - what you're doing here is magic.
I was at the gym, which looks out over the North Sea and found myself in awe of the journey my life has been and I NEVER thought, I'd be raising a child in Scotland. I'm from Los Angeles.
Its such a long story!! Here are broad strokes. I was a DJ in need of a change of scene when I was in my early 30s. I went to London for 6 months- fast forward 21 years later…
Wow! This is magic!!!! What a unique idea to play with words! 💡
Thank you for your kind words and it feels very much like play 😊

I have a pretty bad memory myself 😬
That's why journaling is so big for me.
I'm thankful you found a bit of inspiration while scrolling through though 🥲

I was at the gym, which looks out over the North Sea and found myself in awe of the journey my life has been and I NEVER thought, I'd be raising a child in Scotland. I'm from Los Angeles.
When I was little
I never thought as far as
The North Sea
That I would be sat
Overlooking it's blue-grey
Mystery
I wouldn't dream as
Far as bonny Scotland or
Beyond me
Over fifty years
Travel-weary but happy
To just be
Sat overlooking
The blue-grey mystery of
The North Sea
This is amazing!!! And props on hitting the gym! 💪🏽
What took you across the sea??
